Oh, vacation, how I miss you! Why can't vacation be my real life?
We had a perfect Checketts family vacation on the Oregon coast last week and I have spent every day since wishing we were still living in a 4 story house with 11 of my favorite people hanging out all day, playing games and eating sweets. Oh, real life, you are a sad replacement.
This is my favorite kind of family picture - no primping, planning, coordinating or stressing - but with all the memory and love needed. Joe called everyone outside one evening where his camera was set up and we all sat on the porch as we were (i.e. William in his pajamas, Amelia straight from the bath and the rest of us mostly un-showered:))

Amelia and Tanner were too young for the dominos we played each night, so Andrew and Edy played a modified version of Cranium with them in the morning. It was so adorable how intent they were and how much they loved it.
William enjoyed turning on and off light switches.
Cousins are THE BEST. It was so fun to see Amelia and William playing with their cousins and it made me so sad that we don't live closer. Chloe and Jordan were so good with them and Amelia would shout "Tloe!" up and down the stairs if Chloe ever disappeared for a second.

And of course, these two didn't like each other at all :)
And we all thought we'd died and gone to heaven with all the quality Andrew time we got!
