Amelia's Baby Blessing
November 1, 2009
What a wonderful weekend. We were so blessed to have family and friends here for Amelia's blessing day and we had such a fun weekend. My dad came from New Mexico and my sister came from Texas. Andrew's parents and brother came from Portland and his other brother came from Utah. It was wonderful and made me wish we lived closer to all of our family members.
I think she looks very serious like she knew the importance of this day.
My dad thinks she looks like Maggie from the Simpsons sucking on her pacifier.
Either way, she's cute.
As my dad likes to say: A rose between two thorns...
However you chose to look at it, this treo had a ton of fun together! We had a great weekend laughing, joking and playing. I love my family so much and it was wonderful having two of them here this weekend.
Joe, Edy, Me, Andrew, Amelia, Gordon, Doug
and Cash who is trying to sit for the picture but didn't quite make it...
Fall Walks in Oregon
We went on a couple of beautiful walks while our families were here. Fall in Oregon is so beautiful and the weather was great. It was so fun to get out and enjoy it.
The Screaming Sissies
I really do love this little girl so much. She is such a sweetheart and I love spending my days with her and can't imagine anything I'd rather do. She is a good, fun baby and I feel so lucky to be able to stay home and raise her. What a joy she is to me. We love her so much.
Hilarious, right Lisa?!
Halloween
October 31, 2009
The grandparents seem to agree that this is not a cute costume and that we should not dress our daughter in a pig outfit. Andrew and I, on the other hand, think she looks adorable! Just goes to show that we are the stereotypical parents who think our daughter is cute in everything...but I think we're right! And there you have it. A ton of pictures from our weekend. Unfortunately they don't even begin to illustrate the fun we had together, the beauty of the Fall in Oregon, the delicious food we ate, or how cute Amelia is...so you had better come for a visit to find out!

So cute! She was so good during the beautiful blessing Andrew gave her. Mac screamed the entire time and the minute they said "Amen" he stopped.
Wish we could have been there! She is so beautiful in your blessing dress. I also happen to think she's the cutest little piggy there is!
Oh, and I think Amelia's mommy is pretty cute too!
Now I can't leave Andrew out...he's sure a handsome fella!
When I told Evelyn that Amelia's shirt said Wittle Wisa, she said, "no, it's just Aunt Lisa." Now Lisa should appreciate that!
Did mom make the blessing dress for you? I think that I may have our next daughter wear the blessing dress that I was blessed in. And I do have a picture of me in it and I hope we get a better one of our daughter, now that we have digital cameras and take 10 pictures of the same thing an not just one.
Fun weekend! Sad to have missed it! Someday, someday (I keep telling myself).
i think she looks adorable as a pig! ha and you think you love her now, just wait... it grows... never knew it could grow so much! being a mom is the best!
She looks so cute in her blessing dress, it looks great for being SO OLD! Ha ha!
P.S. I love the pig outfit.
She is adorable. I am sure it was such a great thing having your dad stand in the circle for her blessing. That is so great he and Lisa were able to make it. You have the cutest little girl.
Will do! p.s. Did you ever get a package from us in the mail? I mailed it a while ago, but things have been getting mixed up with our many address changes, so I wanted to make sure you got it. You have a pretty precious little family, and we can't wait for a little visit with your sweet gal. Hope all is well!
I love blogs! It (almost) feels like I'm sharing in all the fun. Can't wait to see you at Christmas and hold my granddaughter again!
Love,
Mom
Aww, thanks. We miss you guys too! And, I love all of the pictures...keep them coming! I have a canon Rebel xsi. I really love it! I don't know much about photography, but I'm slowly learning, and I think it's a good camera to learn on. I have friends that had the nikon equivalent, and the pictures just didn't look as good...and they actually sold it and got the camera I have. I highly recommend it. I only wish I had it when Thomas was younger. So, now I'm just making up for lost time. We have a new address...but it should forward, so don't worry about it.
love the pig outfit! Juliet was also a piggy for Halloween.
